Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-08-13.
We use this platform to schedule and coordinate in-home pet care visits. This page explains what personal information we collect through the platform, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how you can ask us to access or delete it. It applies to clients, their household members, and the sitters who perform visits.
Information we collect
- Contact information: name, phone number, and email address.
- Your home service address, and structured home-access details (e.g. keypad or lockbox codes, alarm codes, or building-concierge instructions) needed for a sitter to safely enter your home.
- Pet information: names, medical notes, medications, allergies, and behavior notes needed to provide safe care.
- Photos taken during visits, which may show the interior or exterior of your home and can include embedded metadata (such as when a photo was taken).
- Payment records: amounts owed and paid for services. We do not store full card or bank account numbers.
- Visit records: check-in/check-out times and, for sitters performing a visit, approximate location at check-in and check-out, used to confirm a visit happened as scheduled.
- Messages sent through the platform's in-app coordination threads.
- Account and login information, including a record of sign-ins for security purposes.
How we use this information
We use this information to schedule and dispatch visits, give sitters what they need to safely and correctly care for your home and pets, communicate with you about your care, calculate and collect payment, and keep a record of service in case a question or dispute comes up later.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers below, each of which processes it solely to help us run the platform:
- Amazon Web Services (SES) -- delivers the transactional emails the platform sends you (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts).
- The U.S. Census Bureau's public geocoding service -- resolves a service address to a map location, so visits can be scheduled and routed.
- Cloudflare R2 -- stores care photos and encrypted database backups.
- Cloudflare Turnstile -- a spam/bot-prevention check on our public forms, which sees the submitting device's IP address.
- Glitchtip (a self-hosted error-tracking tool) -- receives technical error reports if something goes wrong in the app, to help us fix it.
- Gusto -- receives sitter name, hours, tips, and reimbursements for payroll processing. Client information is never sent to Gusto.
- Your chosen calendar app (Google, Apple, or Outlook Calendar) -- only if you or we choose to subscribe a calendar feed link into one of these, in which case that provider receives the visit details on that calendar.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are an active client, so we can continue scheduling and delivering visits. If you stop using our services, you can ask us to delete your personal information; see "Your choices" below for what that does and does not cover.
Your choices
You can review and update most of your care-file information yourself by logging into your client portal. To request a copy of your information, or to ask us to delete it, contact us using the information below. Deleting your information removes it from your active care file; a small number of records that we are legally or contractually required to keep (such as a signed agreement or a record that an account action occurred) may be kept in a form that no longer identifies you, rather than deleted outright.
